As early as the early 1980s, Lars-Göran Linder moved away from manufacturing plastic boats. This particular process is neither in line with the times nor with environmentally friendly practices. This decision laid the foundation for what is now Linder Aluminum Boats, a leading company in boats and canoes up to approximately 5.5 meters. Unlike aluminum boats, plastic boats are not recyclable. And yes, you may already know that producing aluminum from bauxite requires energy. However, aluminum itself is recyclable, requiring only a fraction of the energy compared to virgin production.
LINDER PRODUCTION
A visit to our factory would show you an entirely clean environment, free from chemicals. Our main material, aluminum, comes from certified manufacturers and maintains high quality. The manufacturing process is quite unique, as the hulls are stretch-formed rather than welded.
This process generates some waste, but it goes directly back into the recycling loop to become new aluminum sheets.
Other components, such as seats, flotation elements, and railings, are produced from a plastic material that is extremely environmentally friendly and does not generate toxic gases when burned.
